Here’s how to be a part of the world’s most entered event in golf:
 
Get Started:
Find a suitable site to hold the event
Set a date an confirm with the site and the LDA 682.549.2105
Recruit a team of volunteers and staff to assist with the qualifying event
Use LDA collateral material and press releases to promote and publicize the event
Where possible, work in tandem with RE/MAX professionals to promote the event
Obtain local media interest
Host the event
Turn in official score sheets and revenue share to LDA Headquarters
*Number of competitors advancing to one of the twelve (12) Regional Championships is based on the total number of attempts at each local qualifier.
Winner advancing through the Regional level will compete in the RE/MAX WLDC finals October 20-25, 2008.

$15.00 per try. (Participants may try as many times as they want at the local level.  The national average is 2.5 per person).

BUILD TRAFFIC – By hosting a local qualification event your facility will receive local media attention, which will direct more people to your facility.
 
GOLF BALLS – The LDA provides the facility with 15 dozen Pinnacle Gold Long Drive golf balls.
 
PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS – All promo materials, such as posters, are provided by
the LDA with a site director’s kit, which includes site director’s guide, official score sheet and entry forms.
 
WEBSITE – All local and district qualification events are posted on the LDA website
(www.longdrivers.com) with pertinent information such as contact person, phone number, address, e-mail address and website address.
 
MULTIPLE EVENTS – As Site Director, you may host as many local qualifiers as you like.
 
ASSISTANCE – The local RE/MAX sales representative may assist with the promotion and the operation of the event (If representative is available).  Other national sponsors may participate but it is not required.
 
BONUS – Site directors with 66 tries or more at any single local qualifier will receive an additional $500 Bonus!
